Article Acceptance Process:
The article review process in this journal is conducted through the "peer-review" method.
Details of the Peer Review Process:
Submission of the Article to the Journal:
In this stage, the author usually submits the article to the relevant journal through the online system.
Initial Evaluation by the Journal:
In this stage, the composition and structure of the article are reviewed by the journal to ensure compliance with its guidelines and specified sections. The scientific quality of the article is not assessed in this section.
Evaluation by the Journal's Editor-in-Chief:
The editor-in-chief of the journal assesses whether the article is sufficiently innovative, original, and within the scope of the journal, and whether there are any fundamental deficiencies in its writing. Otherwise, the article may be rejected without further review.
Assignment of an Editor:
Some journals have editorial departments, and in this case, the article is sent to them to continue the peer review process.
Invitation of Reviewers:
In this stage, invitations are sent to individuals who are competent and experienced in the relevant scientific field and lack any known conflicts of interest with the article under review. The number of these individuals varies among different journals. Usually, to prevent the author from waiting too long, a minimum of one reviewer and a maximum of three reviewers are invited for each article.
Response to the Invitation:
After reviewing the invitation, reviewers decide whether to accept or decline based on their ability, experience, and interests. If declined, they may suggest other suitable candidates for review.
Review and Examination of the Article:
Reviewers spend sufficient time reading and examining the article multiple times. The first reading is for forming a mindset and getting acquainted with the article. If serious and numerous problems are observed during the first reading, the reviewer may reject the article. Otherwise, the article is further reviewed, and notes are made on the detailed examination of the article and specific ways to address any potential errors simultaneously. Ultimately, the results of the reviews, along with the final opinion of acceptance or rejection or request for further review, are communicated to the author.
Review of Reviewer Comments:
The journal reviews the comments of the reviewers and, if there is a significant difference of opinion, may invite more reviewers.
Notification of the Result to the Article Author:
The journal sends the outcome and final decision along with the points reviewed by the reviewers to the author. The disclosure or non-disclosure of the reviewers' names varies depending on the institution.
Final Stages:
If the article is accepted, necessary actions are taken for its publication. If the article is rejected or sent for re-review, the author may improve the article based on valuable comments from the reviewers. After revising the article, the outcome is sent back to the reviewers for reevaluation, unless they have expressed a reluctance to re-review the article. Additionally, if only minor issues are identified in the article, the journal's editor may edit the article.
